Every day, UAW legal services workers protect vulnerable New Yorkers against abuse, whether it’s from landlords or the unconstitutional actions of Federal immigration authorities. On Tuesday, 800 UAW members across six legal aid organizations could walk off the job to demand the resources they need to represent working class New Yorkers in court, with over 2000 UAW legal service workers joining them over the course of the week, in what would be a historic sector-wide strike.
