Third Act Sacramento, Sacramento Climate Coalition, Poor People’s Campaign and 350 Sacramento have teamed up to host the Climate Justice & Sun Day Festival: Solar Innovation for ALL! on Sunday, September 21 in Cesar Chavez Park. SunDay is a national day of action to celebrate the power of solar and wind energy and stand up to billionaires trying to stop it.

By participating among many Sun Day events on the fall Equinox, the Climate Justice Festival & Sun Day will help accelerate the ongoing clean energy revolution to help fight climate change. Special guests include Mumbo Gumbo, and Dr. Flojaune Cofer! Other acts include: The Magical Rock Band, Kenny B, Ashwut Rodriguez, Johnny B33 and friends, a Brazilian Dance and drum group and more. Other speakers on electrification, community solar, and workshops with solar cooking, solar Cyanotypes art, solar oven making, and many nature and science activities for kids will be included.

If you’ve ever wanted to put on solar panels NOW is the time before the 30% Federal rebates go away on December 31st! Come catch the fever of the SOLAR SPRINT, to put up as many solar arrays on homes as possible in Sacramento to help reach our Carbon Zero Goals! If you live in an apartment or are a renter find out about Balcony Solar or plug in solar panels that you can purchase inexpensively and just plug their t to harvest our SUN’s pure energy directly!

Free Solar system with batteries can be had for those who qualify! Haven Energy and Grid Solar nonprofits will be there to tell you how you can really have free solar  paid for by CA state programs if you qualify!  Test ride an e-bike, EV’s and check out our demos on Induction and solar cooking!

Enjoy awesome and varied live music as you learn about solar innovations that can bring low cost energy for all!

Parking: Closest and least expensive option besides biking in or public transportation is parking in  the

City Hall Parking Garage at 10th and I st.

Nearby also are:

Capitol Garage, 10th and L st.

Memorial Garage, 14th and H St.

There is also metered parking in the blocks around Cesar Chavez Park
We will have BIKE VALET available.
