We are promoting alternatives to fossil fuels for transport, tools, solar panels, and batteries. There will be several auto dealerships displaying their newest EVs. Bicycle vendors will bring electric bikes to demo. Hardware stores will exhibit battery-powered tools for property maintenance, including chain saws, string trimmers, brush trimmers, lawn mowers, and leaf blowers. Solar system installers will exhibit available products. There will be an essay contest for children with solar-powered toy kits to assemble. There will be acoustic music performed onstage, and a guest speaker will present a topic on renewable energy. A representative from the PUD will address our future energy needs and how they plan to incorporate more renewable energy in the portfolio.
