Sun Day graphic

SUN DAY is a nationwide mobilization to celebrate the benefits of solar and wind energy. We will teach, inspire, celebrate and chart a cleaner future together. This will be a family friendly event with live music by Blowcomotion (a fun brass band), solar cars for kids to race, arts and crafts, a giant sun puppet, snacks and other fun activities.

The event will start with a renewable energy fair with tabling and short information sessions on actionable topics, and fun kids’ activities. We’ll hear from some pro-solar local leaders and do a parade with a giant sun puppet around the Capitol grounds. Our goal is to engage and motivate people to take action at the event and when you leave.

We’re trying to make this a zero waste event, so please bring a reusable water bottle. We’ll have water coolers for refilling your bottles.

American Sign Language interpretation will be available.
