Sun Day is a global day of action on September 21, 2025, celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean, green energy.  In Concord, NH we’ll showcase the power of the sun and wind, the energy sources that can power our world without pollution.

Live music features the band No Planet B and the duo The Fretbenders!  No Planet B, based in the Peterborough area, writes and performs original music to motivate people to take action on the climate and biodiversity crises. The Fretbenders (Bob and Diane Kordas) have a sound based in blues, roots music, and Americana, with a dash of folk, country and rock for good measure. They are preparing a list of Sun Songs to perform for you! More about them here.

We'll have music for the first hour.  Speakers will start about 1:00pm and include:

Andy Duncan, Foster Sustainable Energy and Energy Training Coordinator Lakes Region Community College

Dan Weeks, VP Business Development ReVision Energy

Chad Farrell, Founder and CEO Encore Renewable Energy

Jesse Lore, Founder Green Wave Electric Cars

Nick Lydon, Business Agent IBEW Local Union 490

At Open Mike time we'll invite you to share your solar stories.

Tables will have Sun-themed activities for kids and information from NH Network, NH Healthy Climate, Rewiring America, Citizens Climate Lobby, League of Conservation Voters, Third Act NH, and more!

Sun Day will send a strong message to our elected officials that NH wants a renewable energy policy.  Bring on the sunshine!
