As it celebrates its bicentennial this year, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Meadville, PA, is leaning into the future as a local pioneer in solar energy. Having installed solar panels on its Parish Hall (built in 1878) in 2022, the congregation’s September 21 worship service will focus on the life-giving power of the sun, with a homily called "Great Ball of Fire." The congregation is a co-sponsor of a local Sun Day Celebration that afternoon.
