What’s at Stake:
Right now, National Grid—a UK-based monopoly masquerading as our local utility—is laying out a 20-year plan to expand fracked gas infrastructure, ignoring New York’s landmark climate law. This includes doubling down on toxic sites like the Greenpoint LNG facility, located in the heart of North Brooklyn—next to homes, businesses, and playgrounds.
We already pay for this pollution every month through our utility bills. And unless we act now, we’ll be locked into paying billions more for decades of climate damage and health risks.
Why This Tour Matters:
Join us for a special edition of our walking tour focused on CLIMATE MONTH can help us shut down dangerous fossil fuel sites and build the energy future we actually need—one rooted in thermal energy networks, community solar, and energy efficiency, not fracked gas.
Take action on legislation that would stop the expansion of toxic gas infrastructure, cap utility bills at 6% of income for low- and moderate-income New Yorkers, and pave the way to retire—not replace—our outdated gas system.
We Won’t Pay to Be Poisoned.
This is about climate justice. It’s about our health, our neighborhoods, and our future.
The Public Service Commission and Governor Hochul must act now to enforce our state climate law, reject gas expansion, and put people—not shareholders—at the center of energy decisions.
Come walk with us. Come learn. Come build power.
Let’s make it clear: Climate justice means shutting down LNG & the Williams pipeline by not funding it.
Let’s transform these 120 acres into something that truly serves the community.
