On Wednesday, January 21st at 6:15 PM, Planning Commission will hear a Conditional Use request to build 384 apartments and 51 for-sale townhomes at the old Welby Gardens nursery center. This is a site that has been planned for higher-density mixed use since at least 2014, but the surrounding single-family HOAs have united to say "no" to anything the homebuilder proposes using familiar NIMBY tactics.
