SWARM City Hall
Start: Thursday, June 11, 2026•06:00 PM
Location: Atlanta City Hall • 55 Trinity St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30303 US
Residents across Southwest Atlanta are coming together to stop a proposed zoning change that would allow Digital Realty to build a massive data center next to the West End MARTA station at 713 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd. Community members are concerned that data centers consume enormous amounts of electricity and water, drive up utility bills, and provide few permanent jobs, while occupying land that could be used for affordable housing, neighborhood retail, and other people-centered development. In April, Neighborhood Planning Unit V voted to oppose the project. Now the fight moves to City Hall, and we need a strong turnout to show that our communities want investment that puts people before corporate profits.
