SWEN is a speaker-panel and discussion aimed to educate students about their rights as workers in the private sector and UIowa.

Featured Speakers: Mazahir Salih of Center for Worker Justice of Eastern Iowa, Robin Clark-Bennett of the UIowa Labor Center, and COGS.

Topics will include a brief history of the labor movement, the Iowa labor movement, Iowa City labor, university unions like COGS, and local organizing resources.

After speakers give their presentations, a panel discussion and Q&A will be held.

There will be a virtual option with a link released closer to the date.
