Please join us to learn about “Data Centers and their impact on health and climate,” at our next Third Act Wisconsin statewide meeting. Find about the threats to local communities from unchecked expansion of hyperscale data centers, from increasing air pollution to rising electricity prices. Learn how local communities can take action to protect themselves.

Our speaker will be Dr. Brittany Keyes, the Clean Air Policy Manager at Health Climate Wisconsin, a climate organization of healthcare professionals. Brittany is a mom and former local-elected official from Beloit, Wisconsin, who brings her experience, expertise, and energy to advocate for clean air in communities across Wisconsin.

This statewide meeting also gives us a chance to be in community with other Third Actors in Wisconsin.

More about our speaker:

Dr. Brittany Keyes, DPT, is a physical therapist who is passionate about climate action and public health and serves as the Clean Air Policy Manager for Health Climate Wisconsin. As a health professional, Brittany felt the growing concern of climate change and the impacts on her patients and community. While on the Beloit city council she became aware of the growing air pollution issue across Southern Wisconsin. She led a collaborative community science effort to start monitoring the air locally, leading to the establishment of the Stateline Clean Air Coalition, which Brittany serves as the convener. Brittany has expanded her advocacy to communities across Wisconsin providing community presentations and engaging elected officials, regulators, and utilities, working toward the goals of closing all coal plants, preventing all new methane-gas plants, and ensuring residents across Wisconsin benefit from the just transition of the energy sector. Brittany also serves as the Climate Justice Chair for the NAACP WI State Conference and is an active member of the Beloit League of Women Voters. A mom, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family, being active in nature and joining in efforts with her husband to replace grass with native plants.
