What does it mean to be an active neighbor to people and the planet? Join us at our next Third Act Wisconsin statewide meeting for an exciting conversation with Amy Blumenshine, co-founding member of Third Act Minnesota, on “Neighboring People and Planet in Minneapolis.”

We’ll talk with Amy about her experiences resisting ICE in Minneapolis, what surprised her, and how she sees the work resisting lawless ICE agents in Minneapolis relating to the broader work we are all doing for democracy and the climate. We’ll also get a chance to hear her view of what helped make the nonviolent resistance in the Twin Cities successful.

This statewide meeting also gives us a chance to welcome new folks to Third Act Wisconsin and let you know more about who we are and what we are up to.

More about our speaker: Amy Blumenshine is thankful for the opportunities she’s had to press for the environment since the original Earth Day. And she is capping her earth journey with the honor of helping found the Minnesota Working Group of Third Act. She has been rooted in a “wild” neighborhood of Minneapolis for over 40 years, but also lived in Latin America. Trained as a social worker, she serves as a Lutheran Deacon with a PhD in Military Moral Injury.
