Join us on Wednesday, February 14th, in Albany as we tell our legislators: it's time to tax the rich & invest in our homes!
New York is facing a housing crisis - and it is driving working-class families out of our state. Tens of thousands of New Yorkers are sleeping in shelters or on the streets, while millions are being crushed by worsening conditions in public housing, unimpeded increases in rents, and a worsening affordability crisis. At the same time, reporting reveals that nearly one-third of Hochul's large donors have ties to real estate, and she has lined her campaign coffers with MILLIONS from the industry.
New York State CAN pass a budget this year that protects tenants everywhere in our state, ensures every New Yorker has access to a safe home, and makes deep, lasting investments in public housing. We can fund these investments by ensuring ultra-rich New Yorkers pay what they owe in taxes.
We don't need more billionaire landlord donors -- we need to TAX them. Tell Kathy Hochul: break up with the landlords and invest in our homes!
