Did you know that K-12 students in the U.S. only receive an average of 2 hours of climate change education per year? National Wildlife Federation and Bard College’s Graduate Programs in Sustainability launched #Teach10Hours4Climate in 2022 to increase the amount of time that K-12 students spend learning about this existential topic five-fold. Ten hours for climate education per school year sounds like a modest request – and it definitely is, given the scale of the crisis - but it’s an achievable start. Emily A. Fano, Senior Education Manager at National Wildlife Federation in New York City, will introduce this critical campaign and present our Teach10Hours4Climate-Guide.

Write the World is a global platform for teen writers. Write The World gives students from 100+ countries around the world opportunities to develop the critical thinking and communication skills essential for becoming active global citizens. The charitable organization empowers young writers to develop their voices and publish for an international audience. Liza Cochran, Senior Project Manager will discuss how improving students' writing skills is a critical educational imperative as students seek to engage leaders and change-makers on the climate crisis.
