What Is Friendbanking?

Friendbanking is a fun, low-pressure way to support Oye’s campaign by reaching out to people you already know — friends, family, and community members who live in DC — and inviting them to get involved.

Instead of cold calling, we’ll come together as a group, learn more about the campaign, and send personal texts to our own networks sharing why we support Oye and asking them to chip in or stay connected. Personal outreach from people who care is one of the most effective ways to build a people-powered campaign.

Join Oye and fellow supporters for an evening of community, conversation, and action. You’ll meet other volunteers, learn more about the issues driving this campaign, help raise critical funds, and have a chance to win the latest Oye for Council At-Large swag.
