It's official: Arvada is suing the State of Colorado over new laws that would make it easier to build housing across the Denver Metro in areas where it's most needed, like near transit centers.

We know that when we needlessly restrict new housing development, we make it more expensive for people to live where they want and how they want. At least 20 other Denver Metro cities have already complied with the new pro-housing laws, because they understand the many social, economic, and environmental benefits they will bring. This lawsuit will waste Arvada taxpayer money and make it harder to construct new housing while we're in the middle of a state housing crisis.
