Tell Burbank Police Commission: No to ALPRs
Start: Wednesday, August 19, 2026•06:00 PM
Location: Burbank City Hall• 275 E Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91502 US
On Wednesday, July 15, nearly two dozen Burbank residents and visitors told the Burbank Police Commission they did not want ALPRs in Burbank. It was so successful that the Commission did not have time to finish their discussion of Flock Safety and the use of ALPRs in Burbank. On Wednesday, August 19, the Burbank Police Commission is set to finish that discussion. Let’s make sure the Commission remembers what Burbank has to say!
If you choose to speak, do so from the heart and your experience, use some of the talking points developed by Deflock Burbank, or do a combination of the two! Public comment usually takes place anywhere from 10-30 minutes into the meeting. Commission members will be discussing ALPRs after public comment, so this is a chance to help guide the conversation.
There are three ways to engage:
Speak in Person
Show up to City Hall (275 E. Olive Avenue) by 6:00 p.m. The Commission meeting will be held in City Council Chambers, on the second floor. You may need to go through a metal detector prior to entering the room.
Fill out a comment card - there will be city officials present to help you with this process.
You will have three minutes to speak. You do not have to fill all three minutes, but it is YOUR time to make YOUR voice heard!
Call in for Public Comment
If you cannot attend in person to give public comment or do not feel safe doing so, you can give public comment over the phone.
You still have three minutes to speak.
Call in at 818-238-3335 at 6 p.m. For an exact time of when to call in, it’s suggested that you watch online and they will announce it.
Phone comments take place after comments in person, but you must call in before public comment begins. You will wait on the phone line for your chance to speak.
Email the Commission
Send an email to the Police Commission prior to the meeting - try to send it by Monday, July 13 at 6 p.m. to give it time to be considered.
The Police Commision’s email is: PCommission@burbankca.gov
