Tempo Line Taco Tour

It’s a taco party!

Transbay Coalition and AC Transit are hosting a tour of some of the amazing taco spots along International Blvd via the T1 Tempo Bus Line. The tour will kick off at Fruitvale BART at 1pm, and participants will return to Fruitvale BART by 3:30pm after stopping for tacos at 3 different spots along International Blvd.

Make sure to bring your transit fare and money for tacos!

Our plan for the day is as follows:

  • Meet at Fruitvale BART @ 1pm! Look for Transbay Coalition volunteers Carter, Kaleo + Meena
  • 1:17 - 1:30 Take T1 from Fruitvale BART to High Street (2 stops), with a few words from special guest AC Transit Director Syed
  • 1:30 - 2:00 Tacos at Tacos Guadalajara!
  • 2:00- 2:15 Take T1 from High Street to 20th Ave (6 stops), with a few words from special guest Steven Higashide
  • 2:15- 2:45 Tacos at Tacos Sinaloa! Note: This spot is cash-only, so please plan accordingly
  • 2:45 - 2:55 Take Take T1 from 23rd Ave back to Fruitvale BART (4 stops)
  • 2:55 - 3:15 Quick tour of Juntos Fruitvale with Unity Council ED Chris Iglesias and BART Director Robert Raburn
  • 3:15 - 3:30 - Last stop, Taqueria San Jose (walkable from Fruitvale BART)

NOTE: One stop on our tour is cash-only, so please plan accordingly. There are several bank ATMs by Fruitvale BART station, so if needed you can arrive ~10 mins before 1pm to make a quick ATM run and ensure you have cash on hand to enjoy tacos during our tour.
