Are you angry about DC police inflicting violence on our community and collaborating with ICE? Do you wonder why our police budget increases every year, but ERAP funds run out the day they launch? Have you heard people talk about the DC budget, but you don't know how that happens or what you could do to make it better? Do you want to know how we as DC residents can speak up and take care of each other?

Join MDC DSA's Abolition Working Group to learn how the DC budget happens, and why testifying at DC Council's budget oversight hearings is important. Participants will also brainstorm what should be included in their testimonies for budget oversight hearings, and have dedicated time for writing and feedback.
