The ABCs of Capitalism, Part A
Start: Tuesday, January 21, 2020• 7:00 PM
End: Tuesday, January 21, 2020• 9:00 PM
Socialist Night School is an open course that provides a chance to develop our politics together, regardless of background knowledge or whether you’ve attended a class before. New members and lifelong socialists, all are welcome! If you have questions, e-mail us at SeaNightSchool@gmail.com
Note: The event date has changed to January 21st!
We’re starting the year with a mini-series covering the ABCs of Capitalism by Vivek Chibber, editor of Catalyst and professor of sociology at NYU. For January we’ll cover A: Understanding Capitalism, in which Chibber explains why capitalism isn’t just a collection of individuals, but individuals grouped in social classes with very different interests.
The pamphlets are available in sets of three from Jacobin. We also have a decent supply on-hand for Night School use. Pick up a set at a chapter meeting or e-mail us to get one!
