The Blue Ridge DSA Presents A Discussion on the PRO Act

Start: 2021-04-28 19:00:00 UTC Eastern Daylight Time (US & Canada) (GMT-04:00)

This is a virtual event

May Day is coming up, a day where people around the world take time to acknowledge labor rights and the struggles that have been endured in order to secure better conditions for workers everywhere. In anticipation, on Wednesday, April 28th, at 7:00 pm, the Blue Ridge DSA will be hosting a presentation via Zoom discussing the latest and greatest in labor legislation, the People's Right to Organize Act, or the PRO Act.

What's in the PRO Act? Who would be affected by its ratification? Why should we care? Join us in exploring the nuances of the bill!  We will be reading the following articles on the PRO Act prior to the 28th in order to fuel our discussion, so please feel free to read one, two, or all three (although it's not prerequisite for attending)! On the evening of the event, members of the Blue Ridge DSA political education committee will briefly summarize the articles with discussion questions to follow. We'd love to see you there!
