Join us for The Boys Who Said NO! Gala Online Film Launch from October 15-17.
Directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Judith Ehrlich, the film tells for the first time the powerful story of the massive youth-led, nonviolent resistance to the Vietnam war that ended the draft and helped end a tragic war. The San Francisco Chronicle called the film “An ode to the power of activism”.
The Boys Who Said NO! has screened in nine festivals and won four top awards, including two audience favorites and two best documentary feature awards. More about the film.
We’re now working to get the film out more broadly to reach a wider audience and inspire today's social activists.
Starting Friday, October 15 at 3 pm PDT the film will be available for 48 hours to view online.
On Sunday, October 17 at 5 pm PDT an hour-long livestream event will feature a discussion with Joan Baez, Daniel Ellsberg, David Harris, Mandy Carter and film director Judith Ehrlich.
The event will include an update from Mac Hamilton of Womens Action for New Directions (WAND) on pending federal legislation that would require young women to register for the draft.
Tickets are $12 to view both the film and the livestream event.
Following the Gala Launch, the film will be available for your organization to use for community screenings.
We hope you'll join us for the Gala Online Film Launch –– and share this great opportunity with your members and supporters!
