This cultural organizing learning experience, led by TapRoot artists and the NC Climate Justice Collective, unites artists, organizers, activists, storytellers, and community members to explore the impact of art and culture on climate justice. Through workshops and collaborative activities, participants address frontline issues affecting North Carolina communities and beyond.
This gathering is both a learning and strategy-building space, emphasizing how creative practice enhances public awareness, motivates action, strengthens community ties, and sustains movements. Participants will analyze how storytelling, visual art, performance, and music drive organizing, advocacy, and collective imagination.
This event welcomes anyone seeking to explore how art and culture energize environmental and social justice work. Whether you are an organizer, artist, or a newcomer to community action, this experience fosters connection, creation, and new possibilities.
