The Rent is Too Damn High! Lake Worth Rally for Housing Justice

Rents are out of control in Palm Beach County! Working people cannot keep up with the constant rent increases.

In response to this crisis, we are organizing a Housing Justice rally on Saturday, July 30 to call on our local governments to take action. Governments can no longer blindly pursue policies that prioritize increasing property values above all, with no regards to cost of living or affordability.

We are calling on the City of Lake Worth Beach to immediately:
  • Declare a Housing State of Emergency
  • Institute Rent Control
  • Create a "Tenant Bill of Rights" and enshrine Housing as a Basic Human Right
  • Guarantee a Tenants Right to Counsel in eviction cases
