Black affirming and chosen families of queer youth deserve to find each other.

On July 18th, Gender Liberation Movement, the Rustin Institute, Solutions Not Punishments Collaborative, and New Disabled South are bringing us together in Atlanta for a free outdoor cookout. There'll be food, music, community, a school supply drive for queer youth, and space to breathe.

This event is for Black families with queer, trans, and nonbinary children—those who never turned their backs, and those still finding their way toward affirmation. It's for the chosen families who showed up when origin families couldn't.

You belong here.

The event is at an outdoor park. We are actively building our accessibility plan with New Disabled South. More details coming closer to the date. If you have specific needs in the meantime, reach us at info@genderlib.org.
