Save PEPFAR, Save Lives: Rally & Demo at The White House
Start: Tuesday, September 02, 2025•11:00 AM

On Tuesday, September 2, Housing Works will be joining Health GAP, Treatment Action Group, HIV activist, providers, and allies to take bold action in Washington, D.C. as Congress returns from recess. We will rally and engage in a demonstration to advocate for:
- Full restoration of PEPFAR funding in FY2026
- Uninterrupted release of appropriated funds to resume life-saving services immediately. The White House must release already-appropriated PEPFAR funding, which has been frozen despite Congressional approval.
- A renewed commitment to science-based, stigma-free global and domestic health policy
This will be another moment to remind congress that global and domestic HIV/AIDS funding can't be subject to political games and discriminatory practices.
This is a Save the Date notice. Full details—including return time —are TBD. Note, there are no more seats available on our bus.
As the House and Senate reconvene, we must meet them with swift, unapologetic action. PEPFAR has saved millions of lives globally, and domestic HIV/AIDS programs are lifelines for our communities. We cannot afford cuts, delays, or political games. Lives are on the line.
This is our Welcome Back and Get Things Right Action. We are determined, united, and ready to fight for what’s right.
RSVP now to stay updated as we finalize logistics. Let Congress know: we’re watching, we’re mobilizing, and we will not back down.
