The Demo Garden at McCarren Park was built by GrowNYC as a $1M project, half funded by from the legal settlement from ExxonMobil for the Greenpoint Oil Spill. It acts as an open space for community events and environmental education. This year, North Brooklyn Mutual Aid is stewarding the gardening program.

Join us at 3 PM for a talk and tour of the garden, to learn more about the history of the spill and the space.

After the tour, we'll spend some time helping with a vegetable harvest. Then, we'll hang out together in McCarren Park!
