Tens of thousands of people protested for months, urging Mayor Durkan and the City Council to defund the Seattle Police Department by 50% and reinvest those funds in community-led health and safety services. As a result, 7 out of 9 council members pledged to defund the SPD by 50%. However, the council cut the 2020 SPD budget by only 3%.

As the City Council negotiates the new 2021 budget, the community must demand that the Council fulfills its promise to defund SPD by 50%. Join us for an online town hall meeting with District 2 City Councilmember Tammy Morales. Come sign up to speak, or just come watch, and invite family and friends!

Please RSVP on this page, and look for an email confirmation with Zoom info for the event.
