On Saturday, September 27th, Housing Works will be joining TruthPharm to participate in the Trail of Truth National in Washington DC.

The Trail of Truth National is a powerful public memorial and community arts installation created and led by families who have lost loved ones to substance use-related causes. A memorial to honor all substance use related causes and to compel changes on things we all agree on. First held in Binghamton, NY in 2015, it has grown into a nationally recognized moment of unity and remembrance — ensuring the legacy of our loved ones is centered in compassion.

As an act of activism hundreds of tombstones will be displayed in a cemetery formation and memorialize loved ones who have passed away from overdose, while calling for candidates and elected officials to pledge to support people who use substances, including centering the voices of directly impacted people

This even will include speakers, performers and life performance art piece: 4-6pm
