Better Bay Area Transportation Potluck Picnic

Start: Saturday, April 26, 202502:00 PM

End: Saturday, April 26, 202504:30 PM

Want timely trains, better bus service & bike lanes, frequent ferries, and smooth sidewalks? Join like-minded folks from across the nine-county Bay Area for the “Better Bay Area Transportation Potluck Picnic” hosted by Transbay Coalition and East Bay Transit Riders Union.

Come get to know fellow supporters & advocates for better transit and more walkable/bikeable streets!

Do you wish your bus was more frequent and on time? Is there a street that you'd just love to see a protected bike lane on? Want an electrified Capitol Corridor and 24/7 BART service? Meet others who want the same!

You’ll be able to learn more about Transbay Coalition's efforts to make Bay Area transit faster, frequent, and more reliable; and our streets safer for people who walk, bike, and use mobility devices. Transbay Coalition has volunteer opportunities on projects like electrifying the Capitol Corridor, enhancing pedestrian visibility at intersections, and preventing cuts to transit service! You can also let us know about transportation-related issues you want to organize around!

There will also be brief comments by Special Guest -- TBD

*While it is a potluck picnic, the most important thing you can bring is yourself (and a friend)! So if you aren't able to bring some food or other picnic supplies – you are still invited! Also, we'll have post-it notes for labelling food – especially ones with common allergens like peanuts, other nuts, gluten, etc. If you have questions etc, please email us at info@transbaycoalition.org

*Transbay Coalition aims to create & protect spaces that are welcoming for everyone regardless of ability, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual or romantic orientation, gender identity, economic situation, age, or religion.
