This session is designed for social workers and personal advisors working with former UASC who need to transition into the adult asylum support system. The session aims to provide attendees with: 1. An overview of the adult asylum support system (NASS) 2. An understanding of how applications are made for NASS 3. An understanding of your role as a SW/PA in the application process and the evidence you can provide. 4. Practical tips for preparing the young person for transition into NASS 5. Where to find further resources This session requires attendees to have a basic understanding of the asylum process. The speakers will touch on some of their partnership working and how they approach this to best leverage the skills of different groups, to help one another and build collective power for long-term change, both between organisations and in coalitions using the same principles of organising.
