Turn Up the Heat on ICE
Start: Thursday, July 17, 2025•04:30 PM

U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) is lawless, dangerous, and -- thanks to the passage of Trump’s big ugly bill -- about to have a budget bigger than most of the world’s militaries. The Trump administration has now set a quota for ICE to arrest 3,000 people per day. Many of those arrested will be held in facilities that meet the definition of concentration camps.
Canadian national Johnny Noviello died on June 23 while in ICE custody. Fifty-five more Canadians are currently detained. They join the 57,861 people of other nationalities being held in ICE Detention facilities.
Paula Callejas, a resident of Montreal, has been denied her prescribed medications. Cynthia Olivera was arrested when she arrived at her appointment to file her green card. Like 71.7% of those held in ICE Detention Centers, neither woman has a criminal record. They were arrested without due process, and are being held indefinitely.
Join us on July 17th in our Make Good Trouble protest against ICE as one of many reverberating around the globe, waking up millions of people who will not allow authoritarians to oppress and mistreat other human beings.
