It is the 11th month of a global pandemic, and some of us have to make the hard decision of paying electric bills or rent bills this month. No one should have to live in fear of not being able to make their utility bills and facing the threat of a utility shut off for their home or business. Furthermore, the utilities are not accountable to anyone, and build fossil fuel infrastructure through our communities. We invite you to a special event to learn more about how utilities are harming New Yorkers and what we can do to fight back.
When: February 18th, 5:30 P.M.
Where: Attend by computer or call in (link and phone# will be sent to you)
Why: Energy is a human right!
This event will feature video testimonials from people negatively impacted by utilities during the pandemic, live feeds from organizations committed to energy justice, and small group discussions. Please join us and add your voice to this important conversation.
