In just a few weeks, world governments will be meeting in Glasgow, Scotland for the COP26 UN climate talks, arguably the most important international climate event since the historic talks in Paris in 2015. Between now and then, many of the world’s largest companies will be coming out with their own climate plans.

We need Vanguard, the world’s largest investor in coal and one of the two largest investors in oil and gas, to get with the times and commit to taking bold action on climate, now. The Vanguard’s Very Big Problem campaign is calling on Vanguard to release sufficiently concrete and ambitious plans to deal with its climate problem before COP26 in early November.

Please join us Friday, September 24th, at 12:00pm, during the Friday for Future’s youth climate strike, for a bicycle action to tell Vanguard, “Defund climate chaos!” (Rain date: Friday, October 1st)

After gathering at the Malvern train station (61 North Warren Ave, Malvern, PA), we’ll bike to Vanguard’s headquarters to deliver the Defund Climate Chaos petition to key executives who need to start prioritizing climate.

This is a multigenerational, family-friendly action. The route we’ll be biking is 6 miles long and includes 450 feet of elevation changes. We’ll be biking on both mixed use streets with cars and designated bike/pedestrian trails.
