NOVA Branch is kicking off a virtual watch party series! We'll be watching the documentary series Nuevo Mundo. Nuevo Mundo is a documentary series that explores the dynamic and politically charged world of Latin American street art. The first episode focuses on Bolivia. As communities struggle against capitalist and colonial systems of exploitation, that struggle is reflected by their artists on the walls, buildings, and public transportation that surrounds them. Each of the series' eight episodes travels to a different Latin American country, examining the works of artists like Os Gemeos, Paulo Ito, Decertor, Bastardilla, Stinkfish and more. The first episode focuses on Bolivia. Through diverse landscapes and cultures, the series portrays the current conflicts of these places based on what their walls tell us.
