Join us Saturday October 3rd for a peaceful community gathering joining neighbors, families, advocates, and community leaders to support the principles of human dignity, equal rights, and mutual respect from 10 AM to 12 PM on the Lockport City Hall lawn.
This is the second of three (3) non-violent and non-partisan visibility events from September to October 2026 held on the Lockport City Hall lawn, where we stand in solidarity with our neighbors.
Our message for October 3rd: Equality Starts With Us. Every Person. Every Right.
Did you know there are 30 Basic Human Rights that have been noted by the United Nations? You can find the list of human rights here.
For humanity to thrive, we must build a world rooted in justice, equity, and mutual respect. Bridging gaps of oppression requires dismantling systemic barriers, amplifying marginalized voices, and ensuring everyone has the fundamental resources and freedom to live with dignity.
We ask you to please bring a sign that reflects this message, and if you are unable to make a sign prior to the event there will be posters and markers available.
Mark your calendars for the last visibility event, times and event details viewable on the Independent Activists in Lockport Illinois Action Network page:
