Background: Foothills Conservancy has planted hundreds of native trees at Possum Rock River Access to restore an agricultural field. Each year some of the trees die due to competing vegetation and other environmental factors so we have to go back and replace the trees that didn't make it with new ones. The American Chestnut Foundation is donating over 100 seedling for us to plant!

Plan: We will meet in the parking area for a brief demonstration of how to plant a seedling and then volunteers will disperse following rows of flagging that indicate where to plant trees. No experience needed. Must be 16 years or older to participate.

How to Prepare: Please wear long pants and close toed shoes. Bring a hat and/or long sleeve shirt for sun protection. Foothills will provide water, lunch for those who RSVP, and all tools and protective equipment needed.
