*Volunteer with the Ward 4 CARE Team*

The Ward 4 CARE Team needs your help in reaching all Riggs Park & South Manor Park residents! We are coming together for Community Outreach Days to check-in on one another, engage with issues in our communities, and ensure that resources are in the hands of those that need them.

Join us on September 7th, 2023 from 4 to 7PM at the Riggs LaSalle Community Center. In addition to a centralized resource fairs, neighbors can sign up to help us distribute resources and information, check-in with folks door-to-door, and learn what issues need to be addressed in our lovely Ward 4 communities.

FAQ:

•Who organizes the CARE Team? The CARE team is organized by Ward 4 Councilmember Janeese Lewis George's office and works closely with our Constituent Services team.

•What will I be doing as a volunteer? In addition to the resource fair, our vision is for a beautiful day of neighborly visits. We want to ensure that we are taking care of our community members and building community wellness. During our outreach days, we will share resources and information directly with individuals, and work together to address immediate and long-term needs.

•How many hours do I have to commit if I volunteer? CARE Team Outreach Days will consist of a 3-hour community visit.  We hope you'll join us for the whole time, but if you can't please RSVP and let us know your constraints at brogers@dccouncil.gov.

•Do I have to live in the neighborhood where I volunteer? Definitely not – we invite folks to join us from all over the ward and city to check-in on our neighbors.

•Can I get community service hours? Yes! By volunteering with our team, you will be able to receive community service hours. Be sure to reach out to us so we know you need to claim hours.
