In response to the recently announced major label licensing deals with generative AI companies* the “We Need a Union”** campaign is calling all musicians and supporters to join its emergency protest march/rally.

When: Monday, December 15th, 12 noon EST

Where: assemble American Federation of Musicians (AFM) headquarters 1501 Broadway/Times Square NYC).

Please join us in telling the AFM that We Need a Union that:

• stands up against AI exploitation at the RIAA negotiations
• fights for indie musician benefits.
• gives ALL recording musicians voice in negotiations.

From (AFM) headquarters, we will march to major label WMG, UMG, SONY to demand:

• Transparency: full disclosure of financial aspects of all AI licensing deals.
• Consent Credit And Compensation for all recording musicians — including side-musicians, non-featured artists/band-members, DJ/producers, and indie artists.
• NO Data Scraping: NO major label collaboration with any AI company that continues to ingest music — from anyone — without consent.
• Compensation for future damages 10% of all record company and AI corporate licensing profit donated to a fund for music workers and recording technicians displaced by AI.
