Here, the far right is fuelling racism, harnessing the discontent caused by decades of austerity and decline, and turning us against each other while lining their own pockets.

And as Farage’s fascism is at our door, climate breakdown is right behind it. As fossil-fuel-backed leaders like Trump pump ever more oil and gas, the collapsing climate will feed the instability on which fascism thrives.

It’s clear politics as usual is over. Our politicians have failed us. They’ve marched us towards something even worse than climate collapse: climate collapse under fascism.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. We can choose what comes next. We need to build a strong, interconnected movement that has the power to resist fascism’s grip. We need to build resilient communities to hold us through the coming storm.

This is why Fossil Free London is re-doubling our commitment to the anti-fascist climate justice struggle. In the coming months, we want to seek out new alliances to support our comrades in the anti-fascist movement, and find old and new ways to resist together.

Our choice is stark: Fossil fascism and collapse, or people-powered justice. It’s time to get organised.
