West Yorkshire Citizens 2 Day Induction into Community Organising - April 2025

Location: Leeds

Dates: Monday 28th April and Tuesday 29th April, 09:15am-16:30pm

This is a two day course, providing an introduction to the core principles of broad-based community organising:

·       power and relationships

·       team leadership

·       action

·       negotiation

Using a mix of action learning; small-group conversations; classroom teaching and role-play, the course builds the argument for broad-based community organising with West Yorkshire Citizens as a methodology for achieving social change.

This is essential training for any West Yorkshire Citizens member, particularly those who are actively involved in developing or running campaigns.

Please bring your own lunch on both days.

The course runs from 9.15am to 4.30pm and is facilitated by West Yorkshire Citizens organisers.

Please gather in the foyer so you can be signed in and escorted to the correct room (TS5-11)
