Join us for the 2025 WFSE Lobby Training. We will teach you lobbying tips and best practices, how to write your union story, and how to speak with legislators.
You will get to practice your lobbying skills with Washington state legislators.
If you need ADA accommodations, please request them as soon as possible so our department can ensure your needs are met. Also please let us know of any dietary restrictions you may have.
Travel Guidelines
- LPA secures and pays the cost of lodging, mileage or airfare & rental vehicle (carpooling is highly encouraged when possible) for members attending the training. Note that rental vehicles need to be secured and paid for by the members as car companies do not accept third party reservations and payment. Pre-approval is required for reimbursement of car rental.
- Lodging must be pre-approved and is intended only for those who must travel greater than 50 miles to attend.
- For those traveling on a pre-approved overnight stay, one dinner meal will be reimbursed for the night prior to the event. All other meals that are not provided at the event are a member/local expense. All receipts must be ‘itemized’ to receive reimbursement.
- Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided the day of the event. Continental breakfast is available at 8:30am.
- Time loss is not paid to attend Lobby Training.
- Location/Time: South Seattle College, 6000 16th Avenue SW, Brockey Center, Seattle, 98106, 9:30am – 3:00pm. Parking available in the south parking lots. There is no cost for parking.
