Session Overview:
What do children need to thrive? Connecting data, systems, history, and outcomes.
Children’s well-being is shaped by the systems and environment around them, from classrooms and teachers to families, their community, and economic factors. Xanna Burg will draw on South Dakota KIDS COUNT research, including a closer look at teacher representation and its importance for educational outcomes, to understand how data, systems, historical context, and outcomes can help policymakers better understand where meaningful policy solutions are needed.
