Mothers CAN and Parents For Future are coming together on Wednesday 4th December at 8pm for our latest speaker session, What goes up … must now come down: everything you need to know about carbon removals with Dr Gabrielle Walker.
We’re told that to be able to properly get to zero emissions we will have to remove carbon from the atmosphere. But what does that really mean? How do we do it? What happens if we don’t do it? Are the solutions all tech based? How does nature fit into this? What is CCS? There are so many questions.
Now you have the chance to ask your questions directly to carbon removals expert Dr Gabrielle Walker.
Having spent 30+ years working on climate change, Gabrielle is the co-founder of Rethinking Removals and CUR8. She founded Rethinking Removals when she realised that the topic was not on the mainstream climate agenda, despite a growing body of science that shows it is necessary. Having been the Climate Change editor at Nature Magazine and New Scientist, as well as having taught at Cambridge and Princeton, Gabrielle is one of the world’s foremost experts, authors and speakers on climate change and carbon removals.
This will be a lively, interactive session. One not to be missed.
