What is the Sustainability Charter?

The University of Melbourne is currently negotiating the principles of a Sustainability Charter which will address areas such as campus energy use, curriculum and investments. Come along to this FREE forum to join in the discussion about the Charter, hear from those involved in campus sustainability and voice your opinions, concerns or ideas!

There will be nibbles provided.

5.30-6.30PM:

In the first half of the forum, there will be an open discussion between panellists representing different interest groups at the University, experts on sustainability and attendees. The discussion will be moderated by University of Melbourne Vice Chancellor's Fellow Kate Auty; Chair of the Melbourne Sustainable Society Institute and ex-Victorian Government Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability.

During this time you will hear from Arnaud Gallois from the NTEU and Office for Environmental Programs, Kara Hadgraft a member of GSA and Council representative as well as a Koel Wrigley, an environmental campaigner and consultant for local Government and many more!

6:30-7:30PM:

In the second half of the forum, there will be facilitated breakout sessions focused on different aspects of the Charter, including curriculum, infrastructure, energy management and investments. The main conclusions reached in each breakout session will be submitted as a set of recommendations to the Sustainability Executive, who are overseeing the creation of the Charter.
