This discussion will act as a preface to the ally workshop being held by Black Lives Matter of Columbus in January. It will be led by Co-organizer/Ally Mentor Jessarae Emberton. The topic is, "What is the White experience?" Dialogue will center on building a collective framework for whiteness. The discussion hopes to serve as a catalyst for those involved to ruminate on their own experiences and how they effect their relationship with racial justice issues.

Frequently non-minority Americans find themselves asking how to be an effective ally in the fight for equality. Black Lives Matter of Columbus will be holding a workshop led by Co-organizer/Ally Mentor Jessarae Emberton. This two day workshop is designed to help introduce the concept of effective allyship.
