On Saturday 22 November at 1pm, hundreds of people are expected to peacefully oppose the proscription of Palestine Action in a Lift the Ban protest organised by Defend our Juries at:

The Peace Gardens, Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9BQ.

Over the last several months, more than 2000 people have been arrested just for peacefully holding a sign expressing opposition to genocide and support for Palestine Action’s campaign against Israeli arms manufacturers.

Along with a wide range of trade unions, the Protest is not Terrorism open letter collective are helping to organise a witness circle for the 22 November protest in London, for people who want to show their opposition to the repression of freedom of expression and peaceful assembly. Participation in the witness circle is not itself intended to risk arrest, but to show clear support for those who are willing and able directly to confront the state repression of protest.

We are urging trade unionists, activists in the Palestine solidarity and anti-war movements and anyone who wants to defend the right to protest and show their solidarity with people risking arrest, to join the witness circle, bring as many union banners as possible and hold signs condemning repression.
