The Canberra Women's March is a march in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington - coming together on the first full day of the new US administration with a show of love and power, and a protest demanding the protection of women's rights, safety, and health. We are going to be marching in Canberra - Garema Place - on Saturday January 21st, starting from 11am.

We hope to be a part of a movement that brings together a diverse coalition for the long term fight for women and girls’ rights. This means our protest:

includes men & boys
is respectful of gender & sexually diverse people
welcomes trans, intersex, LBGTQIA+ & queer women
centres the experiences of women of colour
acknowledges the legacy of colonial violence and the sovereignty of Indigenous land
works to be as accessible as possible and inclusive of people with disability
is open to people of all faiths and no faith, and
is a movement of *ALL* political persuasions.
