A year ago, two of the largest developers in the Twin Cities finally came to the table with non-union construction workers.

But after a year of talks and dragging their feet, the developers United Properties and Roers Companies walked away from the table without making changes to ensure that the construction workers who build their apartments are treated with basic dignity and respect.

Now CTUL leaders are gearing up to bring their message to city hall and developers: Developers need to sign into the compliance monitoring program BDR, and cities can support.

This is a pivotal moment and a big showing of worker and community support will send an undeniable message that our Twin Cities community demands respect and dignity for workers.
