Honor the Dead, Fight for the Living! This April, the Midstate Council of Occupational Safety and Health (MCOSH) will be hosting Workers Memorial Day in Ithaca. This event is an opportunity for us to come together as a community to honor those we have lost and support families who were never able to say goodbye.

We invite you to join us throughout the day for training, tabling, activities, and more as we learn about the state of labor in upstate New York and how we can build worker power in Ithaca & Tompkins County! Live music and food will be provided!

10 AM - 12 PM: MCOSH Workplace Safety Training

Join us for a morning OSHA Rights & Responsibilities Training with MCOSH Directors Carlos Gutierrez & Jorge DeFendini!

1 PM - 4 PM: Open Floor for Tabling, Music, Workshops & Activities

During the afternoon, guests can walk the union hall and visit the tables of event sponsors, including labor activists and organizers form all across the community, with live music from local activists. There will also be live workshops and activities hosted by MCOSH volunteers & supporters,

4:30 pm - 6:30 PM: Memorial and Panel on the State of Labor

In the Evening, join us for dinner followed by an In Memoriam of the workers killed while working in unsafe conditions. We will conclude with a panel on the state of labor and what we as a community can do to make our neighbors safer at work and to grow worker power! [RSVP Required for food]
